Minister of Higher Education calls for private universities to lower tuition

Damascus, (SANA) -
Invited the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Abdul Razzaq al-Sheikh Issa to take advantage of the infrastructure and the system of credit hours in the private universities to improve the quality of students and the educational process.
Shaykh al-Isa said during a meeting with the heads of private universities must take initiatives to reduce tuition and additional services Kedzaar transport and the need for open debate and direct dialogue between students and university administrations away from routine correspondence to address the issues students raised in the student conferences with an emphasis on scheduling for the reception of students and listen to their problems and enhance cultural activities.
During the meeting, it was evaluating the results of proficiency test for the substance of Pharmacy, and to emphasize its importance with reference to the order that the student will be included from next year in his undergraduate degree at the university level and Syrian level, and this certificate will be issued in both Arabic and English.
The minister asked the private universities put ladders correction of decisions is automated in the bulletin board before the result of decision and to file the faculty of the Department and failure to declare the registration or acceptance of students by the decision of the Higher Education Council which determines the numbers can be accepted in every jurisdiction in addition to the need to adhere to the rules governing to accept and transfer students and re-definition of the system of credit hours for students, teachers, and explain the vocabulary and its mechanisms.
