DAMASCUS, (SANA)- The Central Judicial Committee responsible for conducting investigations in incidents of civilian and military deaths and sabotage acts in Syria on Sunday discussed with heads of the judicial sub-committees in the governorates these committees' work and the results they reached, as well as the means of coordination between them and the Central Committee to guarantee the highest level of effectiveness in performance.
The Central Committee is charged with investigating incidents which claimed the lives of a number of citizens, civilian and military, and injured others in different parts of Syria and caused damages to public and private properties since March 15, 2011.
It asked the judicial sub-committees to update it every 15 days on the developments related to the cases being investigated and any newly raised cases, in addition to presenting a copy of the referrals of the cases that were referred to the judicial bodies concerned, in which investigations were completed.
In a statement to SANA, judge Muhammad Deeb al-Muqatran, the head of the Central Committee, said the number of cases raised before the Committee and its sub-committees in the governorates reached 4076, that included injuries, material damages and deaths, noting that some of these cases were referred to the judicial bodies concerned.
The Central Committee includes, besides Judge al-Muqatran who is the head of the Judicial Inspection Administration, Head of the Court of Appeals of Offenses Judge Hassan Saeed, First Investigating Judge in Damascus Ahmad al-Sayyed and Second Referring Judge in Damascus Countryside Muhammad Radwan al-Hijjeh.
