PROVINCES, (SANA) - A booby-trapped car exploded on Saturday in the middle of al-Assi Square in Hama Province with no casualties.
Shrapnel reached 250 meters away from the explosion point.
Authorities Clash with Armed Terrorist Group in Homs Countryside, 2 Terrorists Killed, Six Injured, Ambulance Driver Martyred
The authorities clashed with an armed terrorist group in Teldo area in Homs countryside on Saturday, killing two terrorists and wounding six others without sustaining any injuries in their ranks.
SANA correspondent was informed that the authorities also confiscated a cache of diverse firearms.
Also on Saturday, an armed terrorist group opened fire on an ambulance near Homs National Hospital, martyring the ambulance driver and wounding a paramedic.
A source at the hospital told SANA's correspondent that the attack took place around 35 meters away from the hospital, with a number of terrorists opening fire on the ambulance after it left the hospital in response to a call from Homs city.
The source said that the ambulance driver Ali al-Hussein died immediately, while paramedic Hissein Karakoz was wounded.
Explosive Charge Explodes in Homs, Material Damages only
A 20-kilogram explosive charge planted by an armed terrorist group was detonated in Homs late Friday, causing material damages to public and private properties.
The residents said that the glass of the neighboring houses were broken by the blast-wave, adding that the explosion happened at 10 pm.
They said that the explosives were planted in a car wheel and was rolled to the neighborhood.
Armed Terrorist Group Assassinates Doctor in His Clinic in Harasta
An armed terrorist group on Saturday assassinated Colonel Doctor Haytham Youssef al-Younis, a doctor at Harasta Hospital, while he was in his clinic in Harasta city in Damascus Countryside.
SANA correspondent quoted an official source as saying that a member of the terrorist group killed doctor Younis at his clinic.
Earlier, an armed terrorist group tried to assassinate doctor Samir Khaddour by detonating his car, on December 22nd, in front of al-Baath University.
Authorities Arrest Number of Terrorists in Harasta, Confiscate Weapons and Explosive Charges
Authorities on Saturday arrested a number of wanted and armed persons in Harasta city.
SANA correspondent said that a number of weapons including automatic rifles, pistols, ammunition, hand grenades and explosive charges, were confiscated from the terrorists.
