SWEIDA, (SANA) – Governor of Sweida Malek Ali and Jun Park, representative of the South Korean company TaeSung, discussed on Saturday prospects of cooperation between the two sides in the field of investment.
Ali underlined the various incentives for investment in Sweida such as the availability of raw materials, workforce, expertise, lands and capitals.
In turn, Park said that Syria has all the components needed for becoming an advanced and prosperous country, underlining the importance of the laws and legislations that encourage investment in Syria.
Park expressed his company's readiness to cooperate in establishing projects in the fields of electricity, communications, roads, constructions, treatment plants, oil and gas, and manufacturing cars and busses.
After the meeting, Jun Park and the accompanying delegation visited a plastics factory and a volcanic tuff plant near Sweida city.
Investment projects in Sweida governorate from 1991 to this day amount to 75 projects valued at SYP 10.57 billion, including 31 completed projects valued at SYP 3.961 billion, 18 projects under construction valued at SYP 1.508 billion.
TaeSung carries out projects in 20 countries around the world.
